Traditional rental templates were too slow and lacked the premium feel required for high-net-worth clients. Their previous Wordpress site scored 34 on Google PageSpeed and was losing bookings to competitors.
Utilizing Next.js and TypeScript, we built a custom headless booking engine with server-side rendering. We prioritized Core Web Vitals and used Material UI to create a sophisticated, mobile-first interface. Images were served via AWS CloudFront with automatic AVIF/WebP optimization.
The redesigned platform saw a 38% uplift in direct bookings within 90 days of launch, reducing reliance on OTA platforms. The client recovered the full project cost within 4 months from saved commission fees alone.
